We didn't raise the height of the back sliding doors (however we did on all the side sliding sets (3sets). We don't even remember why we chose to not do the back ones...silly!. We regretted this decision but it was too late to change, But looks ok on the frame. I don't think anyone will notice. The doors that all open to the alfresco are enormous. Front windows are great and probably the reason we chose the Balinese Tropicana facade. We modified the garage to extend as far as we could to the right. we get almost an extra metre of garage and hopefully will be able to open our car doors.

frame, doors, windows
Windows and doors started going in today. Frame is still going. We are really starting to look like a house now which is really exciting. Only got one quick pic but will have a look again later on tomorrow and there should be a whole house frame up. we sold our house last year when the land was purchased and so have been in a rental for three months. Just got word they want to sell . Argh !!!!! It's a total pain having to move again before the house is ready....

Frame goes up 21/05/2015
Frame started going up today. Two guys did all this in one day... amazing ! hopefully it won't rain tomorrow but weather reports say otherwise. Frame should be completed by about Tuesday says SS. I might be meeting the SS tomorrow for the first time. Very exciting, took lots of pics. The house looks huge to me, probably because it's all on one level.

Outdoor plumbing completed & excavation of backyard
Yesterday the backyard was excavated to make it all nice and flat. Had to get in quickly before next door starts building as we will have no access at all once they start.
The big pile of dirt on the front yard from the piling has also been removed. Outdoor plumbing completed today and now we have another pile of dirt haha. Frame is due to be delivered Friday as far as we know. Here are some pics from today......

A slab at last!
It stopped raining long enough for the slab to finally go down today....I will post more pics of the finished slab next time I go. So good to finally see some concrete.
It is big...our little backyard is non-existent now... it looks like we have far less space in the yard than we thought we would have. I am a bit concerned about the kids having enough room outside but we have four or five parks within a ten minute walk so hopefully it will be sufficient as there is not much we can do about it now.
Haven't dared look under the pool cover yet. After weeks of rain it's probably half full by now.
