Waffle pods and steel

Yesterday the plumbing under the slab was put in. As I was there the steel was being delivered. Did a quick drive by this morning and saw them putting the waffle pods in. Due to start raining this afternoon, but that's three days work this week we didn't expect to happen. Fingers crossed the weather isn't as bad as last week. As I pulled up a big crane was dropping in next door's pool. Kids were super excited to see the huge crane.

Piers

MJH completed the piers today. Should have a slab by Friday, however it is due to rain again. We are very excited to see some action on the site at long last. Next door neighbours are digging out their pool today as well. So we have a lot of trucks in the street right now.

We have also made some other ($$$$) mods....2700 ceilings and raised all doors, sliding doors and front door to go with it...our garage will be almost 1m wider and garage door also widened (hoping to fit the cars and all of our crap in without banging doors). Drawers to the whole kitchen. Semi frameless shower screens. 

Am now regretting I didn't get the laundry fit out and a free standing bath but I didn't like the baths they had at the time (but MJH have nicer squarer ones now which would have been perfect argh !) . 

After handover we will do aircon, driveway, letterbox, flooring, decking, get the laundry fitted out, internal and external lights and further wardrobe fit out and have the pool finished.

Fence & Portaloo !!

Thought I would do a drive by late this afternoon (feeling a lot like a stalker this week) didn't think anything would have happened but glad I did as the fence and portaloo arrived. Never been so happy to see a toilet! After six months of nothing.... three days of something. We are super happy.

pegged and scraped

Pegs completed on 15/4 and after a quick drive by today not expecting anything to happen ....we are scraped and land all ready for piering ! slab supervisor expects piering to be completed mid next week.

The Construction List

We thought we were done but now Macdonald Jones requested a cover on the pool shell....this seems never ending .....half a day later .....thanks to super brother in law and Bunnings.....we have a pool shell cover and are finally on the construction list....

This means they have 20 days to start building. Trying not to get frustrated that six months after buying the land we haven't even started building yet, but things could start any day now.

Pool Shell Finished

We just came back from holidays to find the pool finished (for now) so hopefully we can get on the construction list this week.

The pool will shell will sit there for approx six months until the house is built.
