bricklaying

they didn't turn up yesterday , but are back again today and have done a wall .....started raining after lunchtime so not a full day. tomorrow is Friday so not expecting anyone to turn up.... if its sprinkles by 5am that seems to write off the whole day, even if no rain appears later. gee do I sound negative yet?  the last 5 weeks of waiting around for nothing to happen does that to me...... brickwork looks ok to me but what do I know about bricks? FIL doesn't think they were laid by a bricklayer! I know the brickwork all looks very black, but most of the front is bag and paint so it wont be so dark later on.

owner of this rental has decided yet again to sell.will be glad to go actually as we are a bit sick of being mucked around. so we have to move and pack up the house and move to relatives until this house is finished. Here are some pics of today's work. Next door has a fence up now so we can no longer walk down the side. but will be great to have a neighbour. Pool fence has all been taken down so am really glad we were made to spend  $700 and a half a day getting that fence put up...

Bricks being laid

Brick layers 2nd day on site. Not much to show as we only have the garage wall so far. But hey progress is progress! When I had a quick look today there is a fence and a toilet on the block  next door so they will be about to scrape their block. FIL is a bricklayer is not happy with the work at all.

will post some pics later when I go have a look.  .....well no bricks actually got laid.....will any work ever get done on this house? who knows...

Bricks delivered

Had a look at the site today and found bricks were there. SS dropped by as well and found me looking at the house (busted!). I was so exited he probably thinks I am a bit of a nut. He told me we are next to be bricked and house they are currently working on is in sight and looks like they are almost done. finally some progress. Here is a pic.... black bricks....

Plumbing rough-in and removal of post 4/6/15 and 5/6/15

Plumbing rough-in completed on 4/6 then today the framing guys were back to fix steel beams and remove the corner of the alfresco that shouldn't be there. Met the SS yesterday, and he advised brick layers are perhaps 2 weeks away as there is a shortage at the moment.
