Electricians start inside 29/07/15

well finally some work inside. no pics "nothing to see here" .Not sure how long they will take but I will be meeting SS when they finish to agree the placement of all the electrical.

I did almost laugh when 3 weeks ago the SS told me the kitchen was arriving this Friday (31/07) and tiling would be starting. I knew this was total BS and wouldn't be anywhere near happening.....but we will see....I plan on reminding him of the finish date and will ask him to outline how he is realistically going to meet it.

Bricks cleaned 25/07/2015

Well not too much mortar blown out.... came up ok. The sections not cleaned are bag and paint areas. Some dodgy brickwork on the alfresco area that is quite noticeable....two walls meeting and bricks on different levels.. but who cares are we finally about to move inside at long last ? here are some pics.

Roof rail removed 22/07/2015

no work for two days again... hopefully this won't be another '1 day of work week'...... house is really looking like a house now. I think eaves are next?  Next door had their slab poured....by the looks of their plumbing this will be a two storey house so might get a bit shady on that side of the house.

18/07/2015 roof

well roof guys turned up today and it is a Saturday . These tradies don't work on rainy days, dont work on sunny days, don't work on Fridays, but some guyw  were there today on a Saturday! I am confused but grateful for someone to actually do some work. woo hoo. we got an email to say bricklayers are finally finished (took four weeks.....estimate was 7-8 days, but I think that's when you actually turn up to site each day.) here are some pics, hard to see and take pics now as the high side neighbour is building so all blocked off now.

I know the roof colour looks wrong in these pictures, I am hoping it's just the light ? It looked wrong in real life also. The roof is monument (same as guttering)  but this side of  house does not look like that at all. I got a bit worried when I saw it... the other side of the house is the right colour but has this whole sparkly/wet look  not sure why it looks like that.

Roof is about 2/3 done. hopefully they will complete it on Monday.

14/07/2015 - 17/07/2015 Roof

Not much happened again this week.....I seem to be saying that a lot....the roof was started on Tuesday, Wednesday no work again (must have been too sunny) and on Thursday was worked on for a couple of hours until it rained. I visited the site on Friday and got all excited thinking I saw someone working on the roof, but later realised it might just be the brickies finally trying to finish the job.... I don't care what the SS tries to tell me, it is obvious we are getting way way behind now and time to start letting someone higher up know what's (not) going on at our site. Hubby going to speak with the building company this week. every little bit of work that is done on the house  always seems to take weeks what others do in days.....

Bricks completed and gutters up 9/07/15

Well I thought it would never end, but bricks are finally done...well almost they have to come back and complete a small section....Gutters went up this afternoon. On 10 July met SS and in the afternoon the roof was delivered . woo hoo 3 months gone and we might finally be watertight. Hopefully things will be much quicker from this time on. SS seems to think we are only a little behind I told him I am concerned that no one is rushing around and panicking at this point hahha.

walked through the house. Feels big now, and feels just like the display. Not sure the pool fits too well, probably shouldn't have done it but it was now or never and we didn't have too much time to decide....hmmm
